Jamie Lee Silver spent the first 25 years of her life looking for the key to happiness. She knew that there had to be a solution to her problems of low self-esteem, anxiety and depression. She knew that there had to be a practice, that if she put her energy into it, her energy would come back channeled in the direction she wanted it to go. On her search she found many practices that claimed that desire was the root of unhappiness, and that alleviating desire was the only path to happiness. “Maybe next lifetime!” she thought and kept looking. From the moment she began intoning the name of the rhythm of life itself (Nam-myoho-renge-kyo), she saw results, and she learned that in this practice happiness is gained through chanting for what you wantJamie Lee Silver, Chanting for Happiness.

Jamie Lee Silver believes every single person can become happy, change their karma and make the impossible possible. She is a District leader in the SGI-USA, the organization dedicated to peace, culture and education through individual and collective happiness.
